We  have chosen Dr. Satchin Panda, PHd, to be your primary guide to Circadian Rythms. He offers a wonderful primer in his book "The Circadian Code" but as with all science, new insights keep evolving; his latest interviews on various podcasts help keep us up to date and also provide a good starting point.

For a deep dives we include podcasts from Huberman Lab, One with Satchin Panda and a complementary discussion with another leader in the field, Samar Hattar, PhD.

About Satchin Panda

Satchin Panda, PhD, is a leading expert in Circadian Biology. A professor at the  Salk Institute, and author of the "The Circadian Code: Lose Weight, Supercharge your Energy, and Transform Your Health from Morning to Night" (2020)", Panda has been instrumental in helping the public understand the growing field of Circadian Biology and it's profound role in wellness.

His Ted Talks provide a great short introduction for why we should care about this topic. We find his discussion of "Six Lifestyle Habits that Will Improve Your Health" on The Proof with Simon Hill to be highly actionable while also helping us to further understand the science basics.  His discussion on Huberman Lab takes us even deeper into his discoveries related to TRE (Time Restricted Eating). His book provides yet more detail and a great reference to keep on hand!

Samar Hattar

As a Senior Investigator and Chief of the "Section on Light and Circadian Rhythms (SLCR) at America's NIH - National Institute of Mental Health, Samar Hattar, PhD, is one of the world's leading researchers in Circadian Biology. We are treated to an illuminating discussion with Hattar on Huberman Lab where he provides yet more perspective on the role of Circadian Rhythms and the state of the science.  A vast and complex topic, his voice is a welcome addition to the conversation. If you are not convinced about the role of Circadian Rhythms on our wellbeing, check out this deep dive with Samar Hattar!
