For every women over 40! An exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist, Simms work inside and outside of academia is focused on both real women and elite athletes.
Her books are a treasure of practical information and training specifics for women backed by hard science and real world results. They are a must read for any woman who really wants to understand what's happening inside her body and how to deal with those menopause realities.
We highly recommend diving into her books to find the options that will work for you - she has options to meet us all where we're at - regardless our finances, time, or level of fitness.

Andy Galpin transforms the complex into the doable. A PhD in Human Bioenergetics (how organisms obtain, transform and use energy), he is highly published professor and leading the development of the new Performance Center at Parker University
While much of his work is with elite athletes he now gives time to educating the public on how to exercise for brain health and cognition. He's a strong proponent of exercise (or any movement) that meets us where we're at.
Some of his recent research also provides interesting insights into the role of specific types of exercise that influence cognition.

Neurologists, professors, researchers, and community leaders, the Sherzais teach us the power of lifestyle habits - including exercise - for improving and protecting our brain.
Their books, Neuro Academy, and their podcast with free online resources, demonstrate a commitment to balance, what's doable, and evidence based protocols.
I value their deep insight, expertise and commitment to following the science, while still finding time for their community work.

An expert in neurodegenerative disease, Dr. Brednesen is known for innovative research and his proof-of-concept trials. These smalle trials have been running for over a decade now and inform the protocols he applies for prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's Disease.
Given the lack of large scale and longitudinal studies, there is some controversy about his work. However, I like to follow his progress and evaluate the strength of the evidence for myself.
He has been a catalyst for the emerging consensus that Alzheimer's prevention and management requires a multi-modal approach. This includes lifestyle patterns with medical and pharmaceutical interventions with a Physician's support.
Exercise features as a core feature of his ReCODE protocol described in his books and offered through Apollo health.
We will need many decades to see the generalizability and long term potential of his protocols and research.

You will often see links to The Zoe Science & Nutrition Podcast given the expertise of their guests and their own Zoe scientific staff - many from Kings College London where they continue to teach and do research.
Host Jonathan Wolf, also a Zoe co-founder, has an uncanny ability to get draw out what real people need to know and actionable takeaways - all in just 60 minutes with a classic British sense of humor!
I value the research conducted by Zoe for its rigor and large population studies along with their balanced view of what to do with what they are learning - for also recognizing and addressing daily life realities.
